Hilux 3L turbo water temp

Post by hilux79 »

Hey all,
I'm trying to find what temp my 3L should be running at on the highway?
I have had a search and can't find a actual temp.

Mine is running in the low 90's on the flat but as soon as you hit a hill it climbs towards 100. I have a speco electric gauge fitted to the thermostat housing beside the factory sender.

I have had the radiator core cleaned and the injectors serviced in the last couple of weeks. I also pulled the thermo fan off n put the factory fan back on. The head and water pump have been done in the last 6 months also. The fan helped a bit but still I don't think it should heat up as quick as it does on small hills.

I'm going to buy a EGT gauge this week for it and see what temps I have there.

But if anyone knows what there actual water temps are would be great.

Thanks
Ben
