i have seen the front control arm spacers yo ucan buy to push your wheels outta harms way of the guards, but does anyone know the mamimum spacer you can put in there? I want to get my wheel sitting approx 30mm more forward. ??? here is where it sits now
I think you can get about 30-40mm before your chassis panhard mount hits your pumpkin on compression. You've also got the problem of springs and shock mounts not lining up. To do it properly you need to move the steering box, panhard and spring/shock mounts forward on the chassis.

My drop boxes pushed the diff forward 12mm, but I still trimmed the guards back at least 20mm. Just used a pair of vice grips that have a 100mm flat blade on them (we use them when roofing), marked a line with a pen and used grips to carefully fold the guard edge around...worked a piece of cake

yes! but how did the springs,shocks, & pumpkin handle moving that far forward? or did they need their top mounts modded as well? a few rigs I know have mooved their cab back on the chassis by 50" to 75", but this also seems alot of work for a little gain

A mate has done 20mm and the pumpkin rubs the panhard rod on compression.
I've shifted cab back 75mm and fitted a 12mm spacer and that gives a huge amount of clearance. all depends on you budget and how much work you're prepared to do. I had to shift the cab to fit the V8 in and the rest was just a really good bonus.

93 Nissan Pathfinder / Terrano Turboed VH45, GQ Trans and T-case, coil overs, hydraulic winch and fair bit of other stuff. (Currently a pile of parts in the workshop)
