disco model range question

Post by luv4bee'n »

Doe's anyone know the model range of the levels in the 97 model range for a disco? Mine is an SE it has drivers airbag, air, steer, windows, cruise control, auto no sunroof. Just wondering where it fits in the options range and how many levels there are. I don't think it's a poverty pack nor do I think it is top of the line. :armsup:

Mid range. From memory there was base model, then SE then SE7 then ES was top of the line. I am not 100% if the 1997 year had the S model or not.

Sounds about right, does the SE have ABS or is that the SE7?

My pick would be the S spec, no SRS airbag(s) :armsup:

S = Nothing (what I've got)
SE = Driver's airbag
SE7 = Dual airbags and ABS, 7 seats, roof rails
ES = Dual airbags and ABS, 7 leather seats, roof rails, twin sunroof and everything else etc

You could also option up the cheaper models but 99% of the time I found the above to be correct.

My base model had optioned cruise control, six seats and mag wheels.

As for what you mentioned...
Air conditioning, power steering, electric windows was standard on everything.
Electric mirrors were standard on everything except some 3 doors I think.
Auto/manual was an option on any model.
Cruise control was an option on base model and standard on everything else (V8 only).

Thanx every1 for ya help. Sounds like i got the 1 I would have picked given the choice anyway. Had a bad car acco early last year so i wanted something with an airbag, didnt want ABS or sunroof or those pissy little seats that they put in the back. The luggage area is small enough already and I have a 90 litre gas tank sitting between the wheel arches to keep the departure angle standard. Didnt want it underneath.
