Can anyone tell me if there are any auto's that will bolt into a seriesIII 4cyl. SWB Landrover.....please?!

Not without mods -remember that you will loose bhp at the rear wheels AND increase fuel economy when you do this. You will need an adaptor plate from engine -gearbox and gearbox to t-case. I have seen adaptors to put a ford C4 onto a rangie T-case but then you need an adaptor for the engine to a ford C4 which isn't available.

If you seriously want an auto it would be easier (and probably similar $$$) to buy the whole driveline from an auto disco (either V8 or Tdi) and install that. Rear propshaft length could be a problem though.

And why wasn't this posted on the LR forum
