I'm a traveller from Germany and just bought a Landcruiser Series 60 in Brisbane. There have a few repairs to be done. I don't know much about cars so I search for a mechanic I can trust and who is not to expensive. Here is a list what has to be done:

depending on where in brisbane you are will make a difference.
I would recommend caboolture exhaust and mechanical (on beerburrum rd, caboolture)
I have never had any problems with the work they've done for me. they charged less than a quoted price for a job as there was less work then originally thought to be. (many places would still charge the quoted price)
I certainly wouldn't go back to where you got the inspection done (or any of the franchised workshops with the same name)

you already have a quote from that place, why not get them to fix it? Going elsewhere they will find more things needing repairing.
YMMV
