hey guys,
just woundering ive got a 94 single cab lux and i want to get a single truck exhaust on it, but does any one no if there is a loss of power or anything? or any troubles with them
getting some extracters first then looking at it
does any one no where does the truck exhausts?

Truck exhausts ?

Talk to the exhaust shop about it and the transport dept.
The exhaust stacks on large semis are allowed because they release the fumes at a reasonable distance above the heads of other vehicles (special dispensation IIRC). On a lowly Hilux I hardly think that will be the case. I think you will find it is 40 cm behind the last opening window and angled down at a 30-45 degree angle.

ADR42 allows for above cab exhausts on commercial vehicles. The outlet must be at least 40mm rearward of the last unsealed joint in the floor pan.

dont listen to them mate, stackes done properly on a decent ute can look sweet and sound good..
ps bogdy home made stacks reak of bogan pride!
Problem is to do them properly it will probly cost some serious $$ for stainless heat shield surounds etc etc... and not sure weather the diameter of pipe for a little lux would gain any respect... patrol or cruiser you could get away with easier...

Chrome truck stacks on utes make baby jesus cry. However, I have built a car with a "stack" exhaust and there is a practical place for them -
It can be hard to route an exhaust past shocks/tank/winch/ whatever behind the cab of a 4WD.
A stack won't fill up with water if the engine is killed underwater
A stack isn't vulnerable to getting smashed under the car
It doesn't stir up dust like downwards facing undercar exhausts
They don't have to be 6" diameter, chrome, or even (very) visible.
Example - This car has a stack in this photo.
Yes, they are legal on commercial vehicles.
However, it doesn't sound like banks001 has any practical reason to run one, and is after something big and chrome, and that brings the Grimace.

On a F250 or F250 they look pretty decent.
I've seen them on the jap 4wds hard to say about the look
also seen them on utes.
Usually they are shorter than a normal routed exhuast so may offer some extra power, they usually do on the F250/350 going by the kits, yet again they are also 5+ inch pipes.
Only other problem might be rain.
