I've read about replacing the Nissan 10mm plunger for a Toyota 12mm. Where can I get some documentation about this ? I would like to talk it over with some of the local diesel lab techs (I'm from Panama so getting the truck to Berrima or other nice shops Down Under is not realistic)
Apart from the plunger, what else can be done? I only know about this procedure :

There is no documentation. I found out how to do it by myself. You will need a test bench and a detailed knowledge of how the pump works to do the mods. The pieces don"t just fit in, there are mods to be done as well as finding the right 12 mm plunger to work. It took a lot of trial and error to make it work.

OK, I understood it was a plunger meant to be used in Toyotas (Land Cruisers ?) So it's a bit of handcraft ?Dzltec wrote:There is no documentation. I found out how to do it by myself. Yes we use a plunger from a toyota pump, but with 4 different part numbers listed, we have only found one that works delivering the maximum amount of fuel, all the others are lower in delivery. They cost from $aud 600-1000 per head and rotor, it was an expensive guessing game for me to find the right one.

This is like a hidden science. Guess this is your business and you don't want to loose money. I'm not from australia. What do I need to tell the local guys ?
