Hey sam
Just had a look at that website and they are saying they are no longer making those kits.
They say they have some stock left but not much..

You can get the non turbo motor out here but not the turbo one.
SAM
Can get the turbo diesel as a jap import if you're lucky...... as a half cut would be good value.
There's a some Mazda diesels that might well be suitable as well.
Gemi diesel would only be worth it if you only had a 1 litre they're pretty damn gutless....
There is a Gem diesal powered ZUk in the Vic Zuk club, we all told him that he was retarded for going to the trouble of swapping it in etc .. .But it seems to work pretty well .... is still overgeared running standard ratio diffs 1 litre diffs and T/case with 31's ... and will crawl pretty slow as well for a stock geared vehicle ... so the Gem motor (especially as you can get an entire donor vehicle of a few hundred) may still be viable.
Also if you want a kit .. have a look at Acme Adapters in the US .. they do all sorts of kits for swapping in VW motors both petrol and diesal .. guy who runs the show seems to be a really good fella as well ...
There is a yahell group as well for the fans of diesal power in Suzukis

They seem to get awsome fuel economy
true...
The power specs on the 1.8 diesel aren't THAT bad.... but any help is good.....
Personally I can think of better stuff to do with my money than put a slow stinking diesel ina zook... removes all the fun.
Puegot 1.9 Turbo Diesel GTi or nothing I reckon....
Hi
There is also a Diesel motor from hi-ace vans that looks like a K series if you want to convert to diesel.
Capacity about 1.5 or 1.7. Motor is leaned over like the K series and looks externally similar in size.
I think they had a model designation of Y. eg 2Y-C
later

..Doze a greenie..why? they deserve it.
I was looking at a diesel for a sierra a while back asked and importer It was ichibahn in sydney. he had some 2ltr turbo diesels from imported hiace vans he wanted like $1200 or so, they did not look to big but I only looked never measured up. bought a supercharger and cooler instead. which never made it on anyway.

This is before we had radiator and other bits installed.
Isuzu 1.8lt and 5spd to 1lt 82 SWB sierra. It fits and goes extremely well even when naturally aspirated. Turbo would only really help onroad.
James waht sort of economy are you getting out of it ?? also did you have to move the T/case ??

I believe he is getting something like 11kays to a litre of feul. If it were to have a higher high range the usage would drop. At about 100km\h the motor is revving fairly high for a diesel.
In it's current state with series one rockhopper and 4.11 diffs pushing 31in tyres the car is over geared to some extent. I belileve in the current setup it would be more accustom to pushing along a 33in tyre. Offroad decending a hill in 1st low see's him having to accelerate sometimes to get the car moving quicker. It has so much torque down low that the car is not struggling or spinning components at a million miles an hour trying to do things. It is all slow and steedy and very capable and very friednly to the 1.0lt driveline.
I know the zook philosophy is light and revvy but the added weight of the engine has not effected the beast in any way and I believe it has become a more predictable car offroad. Gone are the days were revvs and momentum were your best friend.
And to answer your second question yeas we did move the transfer by 60mm in the end with no noticable effect on the drive line.

What UNI's we didn't use any at all they are old technology......
What we did use was a CV joint from a VW and the rear drive shaft that it connects to.
The drive shaft is cutoff and machined down so that the non spline end fits into the yoke of the gearbox output. Slip drive shaft in 10mm into yoke and weld it into place. Make up a 10mm space adaptor that fits over input of transfer and hold CV in place. The holes in the CV almost line up with the holes in the input flange. Bolted up you have an independant connect free of uni's that allow gearbox and transfer to move independantly. The space required for this setup is less than 100mm between gearbox and transfer case flange.
Let me know if you want any further info.
cheers

i have done a mazda 2lt turbo rf into a sierra....it came from a import vitara......but we had to cut new holes for the gearstick and move the t-case way back.........
we are thinking of importing the 1.9td frontcuts soon....
you can already get the td from vw,pug, audi in aus........
also ford transit td fit well...
