LPG Gas Installers - Melbourne
Im after a LPG installer to fit a basic gas system to my Range Rover (89, 3.5 efi) in the Melbourne South East area (Moorabbin down to Frankston etc...)
If possible, these are my requirements:
*Dual fuel
*To keep original petrol tank
*Gas tank preferably mounted inside (drivers side cargo area)
OR
As 90% of my driving is city, would it be a better idea to scrap to whole petrol EFI system and just go straight gas with 3 tanks (2 underneath)?
Any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

i got a few quotes for a BA falcon and they came out nearly $1000 cheaper than all the rest for a basic gas system.

Dunno about good ones, but FFS stay clear of Cologne motors/butchers in Braeside.
They stuffed mine completely:
-the wiring under the bonnet was a complete mess. Unprotected wired stretched from one side of the engine bay across the engine to the battery, with no shielding/tie down points.
-they only scotchlocked the main power wire onto another live power wire. Hence the system/solonoids clicked on and off intermittently.
-they stripped the thread on the fuel line out of the fuel pump, and it leaked fuel from that point.
-The fuel line into the carby was not done up tight, resulting in fuel pissing out all over the intake manifold.
- the gas line was hooked over the chassis in a way it would sooner than later have a hole rubbed in it.
- 3 of the tabs holding the gas line onto the chassis fell off in the first week, before it had even been taken offroad.
To say it was a crap job is an understatement.
I spent a full day correcting their stuff ups. NOT HAPPY.
And they reckoned the system was compliant and legal.

What did they say when you went back and complained?GUtripper wrote:Dunno about good ones, but FFS stay clear of Cologne motors/butchers in Braeside.
