IT'S TUFF TRUCK TIME ONCE AGAIN! and yes i will be selling votes for charity, so if your keen to help raise money for the westmead childrens hospital, then contact me at mark@erh.com.au with your full name, phone number, postal address & email address (for receipt purposes only).

I will be selling votes at $1 per vote in multiples of 3, 5 & or 7 (all money orders or personal cheques are to be made out to the westmead childrens hospital ONLY - they can be posted to my Po Box 114 Neutral Bay NSW 2089 - once we have decided on the amount of vote you wish to purchase i will send a confirmation email - voting slips will be filled in and personally delivered by me to Tuff Truck officials once i recieve payment).

Once again any amount over $10 will result in a thank you letter & tax deduction receipt being sent to you from the hospital.

Any help is greatly asppreciated -

For those of you out there who might not agree with my methods, i apologise in advance - however i am only thinking about the sick childrens needs - so please try to understand -

I look forward to seeing all of you at this years Tuff Truck Event - good luck to everyone.

Hey Tony,

I am waiting to hear back from the Westmead Childrens Hospital - Hopefully Monday.

They will give me their bank details, & we will be given a code ie Tuff Truck Bandaged Bear to type in - so we can keep track of the total money raised.

This system will make it quicker & easier for people to donate directly to the hospital & inturn quicker to recieve their tax deduction receipt.

I will post in Outers as sson as i get the details.

Thanks Once again for your support

Kind Regards

I was actually after one to buy some votes for my favourite team?

I dont have the time to be driving around all day trying to buy magazines then spending the next day filling all the forms out and then having to go and buy stamps. Seams a lot easier to me to buy them from you let you fill them out and deliver them and then you can give my money to the Kids

Plus my mum wont let me use the scissors yet to cut the forms out :D

Hey Tony

I would have thought that you would have to stay neutral & non biased - so i guess you will be buying a few votes for each & every team! -

On another note - i was in baby kingdom the other day & saw a great set of children's scissors, pens pencils etc

Let me know if you want a set - i can send some photo's - you could plead with your mum - she may let you have & use them!

Hi guys,

I have only been to one 4x4 event as a spectator - the 07 nissan trials.

What is this event like in comparison?

Also what is the general layout day to day. the website doesnt have a schedule yet.
What happens on the friday?
is it ok to turn up at like 8pm?

Cheers

Me too, I hope he proves just that!

I had Mark M in here this morning and he said that he had just got to $6k raised for the kids at Westmead Childrens Hospital so far! What an awesome acheivment
The amount of time and effort that he has put into this has been nothing short of huge!
Dont forget that Team Bandaged Bear will aso be selling the $5 discount coupons at the event as well, so all of those proceeds will also go to the kids, as well as the sales of the little bandaged bears (said to be full of good karma and stuff) and the actual magazines.
So please, if you see Mark or any of his crew wondering the que's at TT, dig as deep as you can. It's all for the sick kids.

i think atleast if you have to have a car thats close to registerable it keeps the buggies out of it.

Plus all the other rules regarding % of body panels and chassis req keep the buggies out! I think the no rego rule is the best one yet means people don't have to keep trying to find someone to bend the rules for them to get pink slip etc, and if the boy's in blue or the RTA see your truck you wont be black listed or asked to put it over the pitt's. :D

so if an accident did happen it wouldnt all turn to shiat as rego insurance/car insurance would not cover anything. Event insurance for unregoed vehicles is a way smarter way to go!! good move guys, making it a safer rule book to fall into if shiat did hit the fan!

Alright, this subject i know a little about - i have been working behind the scene's for well over a year now with my solicitors - relaying information backwards & forwards with the Tuff Truck officials.

A TRUE RTA INSPECTED & ROAD REGISTERED VECHICLE, WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO COMPETE AT A TUFF TRUCK EVENT IN ITS CONDITION AS PER THE THE DAY OF INSPECTION.

So in a quick explanation - this year both the drivers & officials are fully insured - so if we the competitor or a spectator gets injured in any way they & we are all covered.

However if a driver backs into Tony Price's Mobile Love palace, then we are not covered - we must fix him up out of our own pockets.

In the past we the competitors have gained rego using many colourful & fruitful methods just to compete in this event & never having any intensions for our vechicles to be driven on the roads, - THE BOTTOM LINE WAS THAT NONE OF US HAD ANY INSURANCE WHATSOEVER! - So if anyone got injured, We all stood an equal 1 in 40 chance to be sued, lose homes, business's etc - which to all of us was no longer acceptable.

The Tuff Truck Officials not only listened, but they did something about it - they evolved & changed the rules - So all credit goes to the officials, they have battled long & hard behind the scenes to progress this sport both safely but also keeping it as visually spectacular as possible.

Moving forwards & onto another favourite subject of mine - BUGGIES - there are none & never has there been any Buggies in any Tuff Truck event, Just very creative & innovative, rule abiding, & beautifully designed vechicles.

The rules clearly state that a vechicle must be recognisableto to the officials & spectators alike, ie Toyota, Nissan, Suzuki, Jeep etc - ALSO they must have started life off as a 4WD & They must have SOME orriginal chassis -

So if any of you out there are still unsure about what is & what is not a BUGGIE, ask some of the original pioneers of the sport - Tony & Wes in the hot orange Land Rover, Pete in his big yellow beast, Gonads in his orange Zook, Michael in the Red Bull monster, Athol in his big Geen Zook, Mal in his Bush Rangie - ALL OF THEM HAD & STILL HAVE WELL BUILT TUFF TRUCKS!

This is NOW the future be part of it or get left behind.

Mark

i agree fully with your statements regarding trucks and their build quality..as far as i am concerned i go to 4wd events to see the best things get driven by the best cars (maybe thats why i didnt watch DRS drive anything last year :D :finger: ) seriously though the event is called Tuff Truck for a reason..hell the main reason i am going to travel 10 hours down to watch it is to see cars like Petes, Marks, Phils and Mals etc honestly if the event went to full bodied zooks running around on 35s (hang on that still wouldnt be legal would it) then i would rather stay home and go wheelin in my buggy, or washing my hair

Tony Price and crew..well done on bringing in the best rule you possibly could regarding rego..you would have to be possibly the best person in Australia to deal with in a comp scene and i think Tuff truck will become a better event with you being more involved..already with the no alcohol at the comp site rule you will find the dickhead element will be substantially reduced at this years event..definitely a change for the better
