I have a zook sierra with a 3" bodylift. I need it back down to a 2" and I dont have the tools or know how on doing this. I will supply the kit if some one wants to earn some quick weekend cash. I am located in North Brisbane. PM me for more details or how much you would do it for

its easy to do it yourself. just need 2 jacks and some spanners

i wouldnt recomend using a high lift jack

regular jack does fine with a rubber block. Why not go to a local mechanic, I asked if i could borrow two for a weekend, bought him a case of beer!

Two is worth it if you can get em, just take it slow, and if the body stops moving, stop everything, walk around the car, check brake lines, cables etc. Takes 3 hrs tops. Easy as piss.

as for borrowing the 2 jacks sounds like a good idea

any one have two jacks to spare and wants a case of beer of their choice???

mate it cost me 350 to get my kit installed at a 4wd shop and i was there watching them do it, after 2 of them spent 3 hours doing it i realized how easy it was, just a bit time consuming, just give it a go yourself its not that hard, and it will be a good learning how to do it as you go mate, only problem i had was that 1 of the main bolts snapped so thay had to weld a new one on.

i dont mind giving it a go my self. i have a really detailed instructions and loads of info.
I just dont have a jack let alone 2 of them.

Since my lift is already 3", i shouldnt have to worry about brake cable clearance and wiring etc? since i am going down another 1"

All you need is two car scissor jacks, you already have one in the zook, grab another out of a mates commondore or whatever. Then just shove em in the wheel wells and use the tyre to jack off. Note this is not the best way of doing it and is propably a little haphazard, but when like me you have no jacks...

I've had a similar prob, freak'n blocks stuck on, took heap of heat and biiiiig levers
Good idea to put some anti-seize compound on body lift bocks and bolt.
If you got none at least use some grease

I always thought it was non illegitimi carborumdum, many say illegitmi first, but my belief was the other way around.

I do so like "nemo me impune lasessit".

Thats on my right arm in runes.

As none have latin as a first language its a mute point, but direct mean barsted dont grind, other way is don't let the barsted grind you down.

I fitted one of those ebay 50mm kits to my sierra the other day. After hearing i'd need 2 people and 2 jacks I managed to pull it off with one trolley jack by myself in a couple of hours. I had to provide a raised platform to sit my jack on (strong box with planks on top) but it was plenty easy. I would imagine it would nearly be easier going from 3" down to 2" than from factory up to 2" but I could be wrong!

thanks guys, i will try it with the scissor jacks. i can get a few of them from mates.
as for bringing it back down to a 2" i hope will be easier than lifting it up

what 2" body lift kit did you buy ??
going from a 3" down to a 2" sounds easy but what have they cut to make the 3" fit. are your body blocks still in place??
its easy enough to say grab 2 jacks and go for it, id have no problems saying that but do you have replacement bolts if they have just cut them off?
worth thinking about

Something to consider is the way that the 3" lift blocks have been installed. Sometimes the body mount studs are modified or shotened, as there are many different ways to body lift a vehicle. Just make sure that your studs are still compatable with the new kit you purchase.

ill do it for you! im halfway through putting my 2'' on my ute. bolts have been snapped. but since yours has been done in the past few years it should be quick.
im located near dreamworld. should take not too long at all.

Did you win or hit it with a big hammer?
Cut down Sierra cab on extended LWB chasie running, Hilux front and Bundy back, with a 4AGZE should be finished about umm soon. A 60 Series work truck and some go fast toys too.

getting the 2" kit from a member on NBS. I sent him pics of what mine currently looks like and he believes his kit will fit. fingers crossed. Meh i dont care the zook is sitting in the front yard doing nothing i might aswell give it a go.
Hoping for this weekend. I'll post results on here.
