gday looking at buying my first sierra and just want to know what was the last year the sierra was made before going on to be the jimmy? and anything i should watch out for? thanks

mid 96 was the last of the leaf sprung sierras than from mid 96 to 98 was coil sierras and i think after 98 was wen the jimmys came out

a few things you should think bout first,

leafy sierras are easier to lift and you can get a front lockers.

suspension lifts on coilys are limited to 40mm, off the shelf unless you get custom made. you can always go a body lift as well, or chop your guards.
u can get a rear locker but no front.
you can get reduction gears, if you swap out your transfer case for a leafy model.
