2" lift in 100 Series (FZJ105R) advice needed

Post by out0266 »

Is it a straight forward job to install a 2" suspension lift to a 98 Cruiser 100 series?

Am new to the whole 4WD thing so any advice, and tools needed. Also any other considerations that I should think about.

Vehicle is primarily used for Beach stuff, plus loaded up to take family camping. What impact to handling can I expect.

Thx in advance

You will have to do the castor bushes as well they tend to wander around a bit after you lift them i know mine did.

If its a fulltime 4WD wikk 3" affect the front shaft {would a double cardinal or what ever be needed}

I`ve got a fulltime FZJ105 and am thinking of up-grading later this year and would like 3" .No bigger as wife will struggle getting in ,she has troubles with a 2" lift lol.

I'd be looking at Suspension Stuff for a kit. Will be getting mine from there when I have enough coin, but from all reports they look the goods.

Old man emu are a good setup, put their heavy duty setup on and you have insurable suspension (2 inch lift) but without the weight ontop, its more like 3 inch. Dont use caster bushes, but drive it first and see if you can put up with it.
