Hey all as the title states i am wondering how i go about identifying an lt230 transfer case? any helpl is greatly appreciated.

Look at another rangie with an lt230 that u know of

i found out how?? apparently the serial has something to do with it, apparently i have one. thanks anyways.

28D, suffix C&D = 1.221:1 high range (32mm wide gears, wide dog spline)
28D, suffix E up to VIN LA 081991 = 1.221:1 high range (32mm wide gears, narrow dog spline)
