Ok,
I’m after a little info. I’m about to start looking around for a new truck (the old hilux dual cab is way to small). What I want is either a cruiser of patrol that I’m going to get cut down to a standard wheel base dual cab. I’ve already researched what companies do the conversions in QLD and “rough costing”. But the info I’m looking for is some personal opinions and experience from people that have chopped down there wagons or had it done for them!
Who did your conversion?
What was the total cost?
Were there any hidden cost you didn’t expect?
Were there any hassles along the way?
Are you happy with the results?
What would you do differently?
Would you do it again?
What size tray did you end up with?
Any rego or insurance problems?
How much was it to engineer the conversion for rego?
Would you recommend the company that did the conversion?
Feel free to pipe in with any other opinions or advise that you wish you knew before you chopped your wagon (anything no matter how trivial, pro or con). Please also post some pics of your rig if you have any, it would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
SASS
