possibly doing an engine coversion in the near future depening on how long my current engine lasts and just wanted to know if the standard hilux G52 gearbox would stand up to the power of the commy v6?

depends how you drive, i went through two in a year and a half
if you wanted to go auto use a isuzu rodeo/jackaroo v6 bellhousing as it bolts straight up th the toyota auto and the commo v6 so there is no need to spend the $$$00000 for a marks/dellows adapter when you can get one cheaply from the wreckers
