Hi all
Well after 2 years of running a 35" spare on the back of my mav the pin in the top hinge finally broke on the weekend.
Was a bit embarrassing opening the door to get another can out of the fridge on the camping trip and having the door half fall off......................
Anyway its now obvious that I need to sort out a proper bar mounted rear wheel carrier but before I do that I need to fix the back door so I can get it closed properly.
It is the top hinge the pin broke on. It broke either side of the hinge thats fitted to the door itsself. Can I buy a new pin and bushes from Nissan and change them over or is it time for a whole new hinge?
Is the hinge bolted to the door internally or welded to it? I havent had a chance yet to pull it apart and check it yet cause its pissing down rain here at the moment.
Any ideas are appreciated.
