I intend to fit a snorkel to my GQ TD42 shortly. Looking at where the air duct from the precleaner connects to the rectangular filter on top of the engine the factory connection does not look very water or even air tight. Its just a square section of loose fitting plastic held in place by one bolt at the top. At least if it was a round section I could clamp the duct on.
Once I fit the snorkel will this connection be the weak link in the chain? If so what have others done to fix it?
Thanks

Get some adhesive rubber foam, stick it to the airbox side, and FORCE the hose onto it, nothign will get in, thats what Ive done to mine, also did similar to the bit where ti comes through the guard.
Also piss off the precleaner, it does nothing.. (photo)
If you keep it check the bottom hose where it comes out, they fracture on the actual airbox there.
