ride height problem

Post by danny40 »

hi
just got a bit of a problem with ride height i recently had a saged spring in my car, replaced the 2 rears with brand new ones as the rear drivers side was sitting about 40mm lower that the rest of the car.
Now with the new springs in the rear passenger is stiiting about 25mm higher than the rest if the car.
what other things could be causing this besides the springs them selfs, its in a GQ wagon.

cheers

what????

danny, did you just whack the new springs in or did you check them first? often the drivers side is made to sit slightly higher to take the added weight(of you), and if you have put them around the wrong way then it may cause the passenger side to sit noticeably higher. also, if the pass side one isnt seated properly it will sit higher.

sorry i should of mentioned i had it done by a mechanic and because its on gas the petrol tank is on the drivers side so when that is full there will be even more weight on the drivers side.
