23mm Tap...WHERE???
does anyone know where i can get a 23mm fine thread tap??
i need to make a new drag link and want to use toyota tie rod ends which are a fine thread M23.

I looked at doing the same and was told it wasnt 23mm, I couldnt find a tap to match.

to buy the tap i know they are about $400.00, and you will need to buy 2 taps, 1 left and 1 right thread

you will also need to be careful with what steering box you are running as the hole in the pitmart arm changes from 80 series to 70 series, as to which tierod you can run, and also depends if you need the steering damper bracket attached to the tie rod, when you loose the the bracket on the rod you have to use a 80 series tie rod if your still runing a 70 series box, this is when the problems start, because the hole in the arm is to big, ive just had a tapperd bush machined up to take up the diffrence

i have a custom one in there now it has 80 rod ends on them and goes in the pitman arm fine as i have already replaced the ends once!! as for steer damper im just going to use the L bracket with the U-bolts so thats no problem either75 cruser wrote:
