nice work!
you considered putting some sort of scoop or vent over the open cutout on the bonnet, would possibly increase flow to the core, and also cool air into the engine bay in general, then again its also letting heat radiate out leaving it open

How old was your engine when you turboed it?

Did you do anything with the engine before you slapped the turbo on, like rebuild it?

I've got a spare turbo lying around but don't know whether its worth putting on such an old engine or not, got about 200 000 I think

Reading it, only the intercooler has been added, not the turbo.

I did the same thing a few years ago, but mine was a standard, later model Daihatsu intercooler. Its reletively easy to do.

MID, have you got any type of fan under your intercooler? Or are you just relying on airflow from forward motion to cool it?

Yeah but 84 Rocky's didn't come out with Turbo's if I'm not mistaken, so its either a later model engine (doesn't look it by the rocker cover :? ) or he's added the turbo at some stage.

That's one sweet ride.
Always liked the SWB.
Looks so cute and adorable.

As for the Rocky anoraks what are the diesel engine models and code name fitted to it?
Are they Toyota, Hino based engines?

Only thing of a small concern is the tow hook on the front bull bar.
Isn't it an odd place to mount so high up?
My RIG sucks big time.

they run toyota parts like the powersteer system an shit like that the motor is daihatsu. an no not really for my toe hook i couldnt fit it underneath as the bottom of the bullbar is in the way i figure it shouldn't matter the bullbar is well bolted so thats not coming of anytime soon lol. 2thousand more kms an it goes back up on the dyno an well see wat power we can make?

yeah monkey ive got it written in there atm its got 100hp at wheels but that was done before the cooler went on so in not sure wat its making now? its running 9psi fullboost but thats getting put up to about 12-14 an the pump timing to create a slightly larger window, that will be adjusted an played around with when we put it bak on the dyno in about 8weeks or so.. so im not gettin my hopes up but i wouldnt mind getting another 30hp at the wheels but well see how we go i guess. pulls well as it is now so anything from this will be an improvement, i need to make up my snorkel so i can pump down some colder air an im going to make up a larger exhaust so help it flow alot easier probli 2.1/2 or 3inch see wat i can fit in there lol.
