my speedo has stopped working on my 98 coily. i have been checking fuses to see if that could be the problem but have found nothing.
im thinking that maybe a sensor in the gear box/transfer has gone(if there is one), any ideas?
my tacho still works but the odometer does not
cheers andrew

Speedo not working
Speedo not working
4age zook ute in lots of bits
i'm fairly sure that the speedo is not powered -i.e. it will work regardless of the fuses situation.
As zooker said - you may have killed the cable (just wear and tear), or the connection at the x-fer case has come loose / worn out, or the connection behind the dash has come loose.
You can diagnose a bit more at the xfer end by removing the plug from the xfer case and spinning the "inner cable" by hand. You should see the needle on the speedo move (only very slightly). If the needle moves, you have a problem at the xfer end, if it doesn't move, you have a problem at the speedo end, or in the cable.
