7 x 15" rims
7 x 15" rims
Hi All,
I'm trying to source a 7" x 15" rim to suite a suzuki with between 3" and 3.25" of back spacing.
Do these exist in stock over-the-counter form?
Is this considered an f100 rim?
thanks,
Greg

i've actually got some 15x7's that i already bought with 4.25" backspacing but i'm planning on returning those because their useless to me.
The plan is to identify what these rims are (because i believe i can get them over the counter) and then have snake racing source them and turn them into beadlocks for me. lots of fun.

the steel ones are 15x7, and 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern, but about 5.25" backspacing.
get someone to cut and reweld them for better backspacing.
well that is an option if you can't find anything over the counter.
5 x 4.5 wont fit on a zook, you need 5 x 5.5
What you are looking for is a 15x7 with -15 offset, this is about 3" backspace. You should be able to get these over the counter from most tyre dealers etc.
My suggestion is to get Snakeracing to contact Speedy Wheels on 02 9609 3399, they should be able to source them from there. I got my 15x8s from Speedy and called them myself to find out availability etc then went to my tyre dealer and got him to order them in.
Hi Graham,
the swampers are moving around on my rims and that's at 10-12psi - i'd like to go a bit lower than that without worrying about losing a bead... particularly since i do a lot of driving outside of the club trips (i.e. single vehicle).
if you're not having problems with yours, perhaps you're just not working them hard enough

thanks guys, but it looks like i'm bailing on the 15x7's with the snake racing bead locks... it was just getting way too expensive. :(
called up total 4wd and ordered some bigballs weld in rings for 100 bucks each and have roped a mate into welding them in and offsetting the centres of my current 15x6's to be whatever we decide on the day. should be great i hope
regards,
Greg

Or if youre getting newies just specifc CJ jeep fitment. My 15x8 steelies were $72 each delivered.
Hmmm, yeah ok. In Sydney that would be the case.
There are bugger all Jeeps up this way

Hey guys just reading through this and it says that cj5 rims have more offset then the f100. The thing is that I run 15x7 cj5 rims from speedy already and they are in line with the wt flare. Can anyone tell me how far a f100 rim ends in relation to the flare?
Now when I ordered my new rims I asked for -28 offset is that the largest speedy wheels do? I have checked their site but didn't find that kinda info

For those who are interested I picked up my 15x8 today. I had asked for the -28 offset whick is the biggest available. Anyway they measure 3 1/2 inch rear offset and 4 1/2 front offset.
That equals 1/2inch off centre..........
....which sucks!
