Removing leafs

Post by SIMMO84 »

Im thinking about removing a couple of leafs out of the rear of my hilux.
Its got 6 leafs in it now ( 2 load and 4 normal). I was going to remove the bottom 3. Do i leave them out completely or cut the ends off them and put just the center 6 inches or so in to make up the height that im loosing. hope that makes sence any help is apprieciated.

as you drop leaves youll lose height and gain flex, but only to a degree - after that you'll just start smashing your bump stops and getting axle wrap... its a trial and error thing.

you can counter the lost height by putting spring blocks in, but it might be better for your COG to do a body lift.
