How to choose shocks: spoa MQ

Post by JelmerMQ »

I did a spoa years ago and used home made shock bracket to use the original shocks.

They break pretty often so I want shocks that fit on the original mounts.
How do I measure my maximum travel? I was thinking of lifting one front tire with a forklift and lift the oppesite rear tire with another forklift.

What do you guys recommend?
Patrol 2.8 '84, twin carburators, Z-car header, 280ZX cam, SPOA, ARB lockers f+r, Ramsey winch, 33" Maxxis Mudders and some rust....

i would lift the body up with the fork lift, if you can stick the tines under something safely, to check for max travel then lift the tyre up with the fork to check for minimum length.
