My poor 2 dr has been written off ... any 4 doors for sale
Hi all,
In the storm the other night my 2 door rangie decided to roll down the drive way and hit the neighbours house at 2.30am (having been parked there since 7.30pm) I seemed to slip out of gear, anyway after a few
quotes and a meeting with the insurance company they have decided that it is a repairable write off and are paying me out.
I am shopping for a 4 door hopefully with EFI but I am interested in nearly any 4 door. I am in SE QLD and will travel to have a look at the cars. This is only the early stages at the moment and I haven't received my pay out yet so I am just looking but will be buying soon.
And before you ask I will get some pics tonight for you blokes to have a look at how much it takes to write off a 2 door rangie.
Tom

Yeah it is going to auction, I just have to get that cleared by the minister of finance I was hoping to do that but they pay out is pretty low and if I have to buy another car it mightn't be worth it.
I will go to the auction and see how much it sells for .. if it is cheap then I might buy it
Sorry to hear that Tom. Is that a golden gumboot I can foresee .
Seriously, it must be a real PITA, but at least you can upgrade. Hope you find a good 4 dr. Of course you know you really want a Land Rover instead.

Forgot about the gumboot ...nooooooo yeah you found me out Ben, care to sell me your red landy I will pay bottom dollar !!
Sorry to hear that another 2 door has bitten the dust.
Go for the EFI and ZF, you won't regret it. As good as 2 door Rangies are, the later models are still easily repairable and much more comfortable. Stay away from that air suspension and ABS shit or you will be sorry!!!
A good early 4 door is a great buy for about $4K (4 speed manual and carbies), much like you 2 door mechanically, but easy to fix.
Good luck. Let me know what you buy.

Sorry, don't want to sell my big red truck. But if you want I can work out an attractive 3 year lease package for when I am in Germany.

Cheers mate .. I hope it won;t come to that but you never know
Bit of a bumnmer about your Rangie. With the Traction control and the MT/R's on recently, I bet your pissed off a bit!!!
You can pick up a good EFI Rangie for about that (86-87 vintage). Just got to be patient unles you really need a repacement quick, then the eraly 4 doors are not a bad option.

Trav
