1.3 Single point injection

Post by leary393 »

Hi there Just bort a single point injection set-up off a sierra jimny.
I have read plenty of threads with bits and peices of info and are slowely puttin it all together.

My question is. Is there a thread/ bible that gives you all the detail on this conversion as i am un aware of what is needed to be done.

i would like to have as much info as i can before i start.
Some of my questions.

Do i strip wiring from engine bay and use the loom from the jimny?
Or
Do i leave existing wiring in my engine bay and only run the basic injection loom?

What do i need and what don't i need in my wiring loom?

any pics info wiring diagrams or even a complete install from start to finish.

If this is not already on here then i mite do an install thread and try get it in the bible.

Post up pics of that you have got. The Aust jumny has multi point injection, so I am guessing you got a TBI setup of an import?
Though if you are "unaware" of what needs to be done, are you sure you are able to do this yourself. The swap to the 8 valve TBI is VERY simple. On the suzukiinfo site is a complete wiring diagram for this swap.

First though - show us what injection setup you have?

i'm pretty sure its off an import. this prob isn't the best pic. i've played around with a few different injection systems and wiring looms on other cars just not the sierra's.

here's a few more pics. i spoke to the guy i bort it off. said it came off a 1.3 import jimny. As for roadworthyness and as i have posted in previous threads. this is not my daily driver but more of a week end toy. as for engineerin why wouldn't this pass. as i would expect this setup to be alot more enviromentally friendly than a carby and no cat.

I should have been a little more specific when i first made my post but was just hoping to get the info i wanted with the short version,

Previous cars i have played around with have had the injection, computer and sensors in a seperate loom to say your lights, ignition and other accesories, with only the basic power and other functions joining the 2 looms.

my question is, Does all the lights and other accesories come into the same loom which the computer and other injection accesories are in. what needs to be removed and what doesn't,

Does the comp need all sensors or can some be taken out.

I havn't yet looked into fine detail with my set up yet as i'm still to busy building diffs and cage to get started just yet.

can you do me a big favour and tell me what the part number on your ecu is IE: 33920-?????

also can you take a photo of the back of the ecu plugs so i can see what colour wires you have there ...

i have the same setup but fear i have been given the wrong ecu , i had it all setup but could not get injector pulse (as the cas wasnt sending a signal to the ecu)

im currently working on another efi setup , but if i could get both working would be a bonus ...
