well my mine has just had some work done on it . It is a 13bt auto and I love the wheel base lenght ,toughness and the boxy shape. url] http://www.outerlimits4x4.com/ftopic166806
LETS GO BRONCOS
Mine runs about 25 ltrs/100km on LPG with 35's
3F's are slooooowwwwww
Leaf springs are not so comfy
They're not so well insulated
That said, it's something different to the zillion GQ's around and you can take the roof off in summer. I do hate to say it but a GQ is far better bang for your buck.
Well I'm guessing that they didn't think everyone would carry on like a big bunch of sooky girls over it like they have........
Got that right, bloody slow but reliable and happy to plug along at very low rpm.sierrajim wrote:Mine runs about 25 ltrs/100km on LPG with 35's

Gas tank can go underneath, most remove the petrol tank and make up a belly tank and bit the gas tank where the original petrol tank was.
Mine has the gas tank in the cabin right behind the front seats.
Personally i'd rather recommend the BJ74 the mid wheel base with the 13B-T in it over the 3F, my mate has one of these and the engine get's it up every dune and the low down torque is pretty awesome, tough car too, pretty much unbreakable, i have the BJ71 the SWB also with the 13B-T....Fun cars they are !!!
The 13BT and auto doesn't like to turn 35's without changing the gearing. My middy now runs 6.1 diffs and is great off road now. Even have confidance going downhill again! They're a great truck, the best thing is there isn't that many cruising around, not like a GQ or an 80!
Everyone loves a 40!

ok guys, report after i had a look....
engine seems good, no blow by out of oil cap, few oil leaks, but i can deal with that, some rust in the windscreen surround... this seems the norm with 7# series? correct?
hs uhf and cb, bullbar with high mount winch, 33 inch tyres with aboput 40 % tread, cargo drawers in back and a barrier, 1 fuel tank on passenger side of it, and original fuel tank at back, so i would remove the original tank and oput a gas tank there, leavin the 65 litre aux tank for petrol.. engine ahd plenty of power.
had a bit of a miss when first started, but think it was due to it not being started for bout 10 months...
good seats and interior, 1 rip in drivers seat, air con needs regassing...
not much rust in body little in the rear drivers gaurd and a little in the door, but pretty good...
offered $4600 with a rwc... rego till end of may...
wat do people think? worth that money?
its done a lot of ks, but been rebuilt 100,000k ago..
will get a pre purchase test done too..
p.s any ideas on cost of gas install?
