AA's for Quitters
biggest piece of shit on earth, google it also see what the tight wads over on calaisturbo forums had happen, some of them dont last run in, others less than a 1000 kays.....there's a reason why they are $200-$300 and a real garret of same size is $1500 and up....don't be fooled
and I have pm'd you some info about a reply above thats complete crap as is most from the user.

My bitch has boost, Nutter Engineering Turbo GQ
From the research i have done on these turbos, the main issues stem from oil supply blowing out the rear seals. To make them last there needs to be a restricter in the oil supply line, .8 to 1mm from the stuff i have found on the net from the states. i bought an rb20/25 turbo second hand and there is a simular sized restricter/hole in the banjo bolt on the supply line.
Another problem is some of the compressor wheels fly apart, this is caused by the chinese makers not being able to replicate the complex casting design, so they make them in two pieces an glue them together, and the glue lets go. This problem doesn't happen with all turbos.
A mate has a Monsta performance T04E turbo, internal wastegate, that i've checked out and it looks pretty good quality, one piece comp wheel, but this same turbo had a strange issue when fitted to an rb20, that the boost couldn't be kept under 25psi!!!! We think that the wastegate cant flow enough to control the boost. The wastegate hole is around 20mm.So if it cant flow enough on an rb20 its got no hope on a 4.2. Id be looking at an external wastegate turbo, they're cheaper, and you can get a wastegate for about $150(ebay)
Monsta performance (ebay) seems to be the most reliable supplier according to reports, and they have 12 months warranty.
Another option are the KKR series of turbos, one of australias best turbo gurus, Martin Donnan uses the on his tt LS1 conversion kits, and thats saying something (alot of his stuff goes to the states and the middle east). These turbos aren't as expensive(around $800/900) as Garrett stuff, i think Otomoto? is the supplier here, just do a google search.
Hope this info helps you. -Andrew
