just wondering how long it takes for different trucks with different mods to get to 100km/hr

my gu with a 5.7 takes 13 sec flat with 37" tyres

i dont think its all that impressive but i would be interested to see what other people get.

Petrol or Diesel?

The Banks Sidewinder US diesel pick up is doing 7.2 sec 1/4 mile passes now.

WHich is pretty good as Banks has only been doing the drags for 2-3 years.

6.9 seconds by the book, 4.2 atmo diesel patrol.

to put that in perspective, it takes around 60 seconds by the clock for my 2.0L turbo petrol VW Golf to do the sprint.

Wait....

6.9 sec for a 4.2 patrol must have some dollars under the hood

Bung a real V8 in like an EFI 5.0 and you'll get 8 seconds flat.......

Well actually you'll get about 11, that's on 33s and 4.3 too :D

I think he's reversing facts for fun ;)

As for times, once it's dyno tuned i'll let you know

Running fairly ordinarily on 6psi (will be dyno'd with new aftermarket ecu running 9-10psi) with stock ecu i've held with a Golf GTi on a motorway on ramp, actually starting catching him as the speeds got up

That's 33's and 4.88's. Hopefully going back to 4.3's once tuned, maybe 4.56. Hoping to drive over the top of that GTi before he even looks for 3rd gear. Oh, and it still climbs mountains and takes me hunting for 50c/L on injected LPG :D

my celica does it in the 4 sec bracket....

My fire blade in the 3 sec bracket....

The auto patrol..... i dont think a sun dial moves slow enough to time it!!!!
Dunno how slow it is - but feels very slow compared to the other two....

Might try it on the way home from work today for giggles...

A stock XJ Cherokee with 4.0lt straight six and Auto does it in 10.0, mine is certainly slower with all the bar work and tyre change.

I think about 15 seconds for my diesel rangie (not stock).

But since I rode a Yamaha R1 a few years back, nothing on 4 wheels will feel fast.

he he, before my turbo was doing the tr4ick my slow 2.8 lux took 40 sec to get to 100.

now its a mind blowing 30 seconds.

its not that slow to about 80 but from 80-100 take about 20 seconds .

I am aiming for an eventual 25 sec... smokin!

Have no idea but the next time I have a bewildered WRX trying to figure out why an aerodynamic brick is still at the side of him when he hits a 100K's I'll be sure ask him the time :D

Hey, it's highly modified!

All those cars that are faster must be doing like sub-1.5 seconds. Imagine that.
