Not 100% certain on what these are called, but I'll refer to them as the diesel injector nozzels. The one for cylinder no 3 is leaking and leaking quiet badly on my 2H. Are they something that I can just pull apart and replace a seal or what?
What you can't really see from the crummy pictures above is that there is a pool of diesel around it and it's dripping down the side of the block onto the oil filter, then onto the front tail shaft, and then onto the ground where it makes a mess on the old mans concrete.
Only leaks when engine is running, but it leaks quiet a bit, so it's wasting a fair bit of fuel, and I'm not overly keen on having diesel running around the engine bay.
there is a cuple of washers under the injector that are more than lokley at fault easy to replace a diesel shop can supply the seals for you. however there is a good chance that the injectors should be rebuilt. and you wont be able to do that at home
Turns out that the cylinder the leaking injector is on is not running. After running the engine, I touched the pipe on the extractors comming from cylinder number 3 (the one with the faulty injector) and it was cold, the other 5 were warm.
Any idea what sort of cost there is in having an injector rebuilt?
I see on eBay can get a full exchange set of reconditioned ones for $340.00 to $375.00 ( http://cgi.ebay.com.au/TOYOTA-2H-late-m ... 240%3A1318 ) which works out to be $56.66 to $62.50 per injector, not bad price at all.

If your refering to the 3rd picture it's just lighting playing a trick, it's also not the injector that's leaking pictured, the leaking one is the one in the background of the picture.
Is it possible to remove just 1 injector, or do the whole lot need to come out at once? I'm just being a bit cautious with them as I don't want to undo the wrong part which will pull apart the injector.
