IFS CV boots - gen VS aftermarket

Post by daveo »

split a CV boot on my lux on the weekend, what is the general consensus on genuine CV boots vs aftermarket? quality, durability, price (i can guess which one is going to be more expensive!) etc

cheers

I found the cheap and nasty ones to work best as being a loose fit they tended not to tear as easily with the angles a lifted IFS gets
Toy: 98 TJ with some mods and some bling
Tourer and daily: 120 Prado with some mods

i could definately notice a difference between repco ones and genuine ones.. the clamps with the repco ones were useless. repco $16, genuine $70
