Unless its modified. I think she may not like the handling of them.
They ride like a skateboard..(hard)
May i suggest a vitara?
Car handling. Pretty good offroad. Alot softer suspension!!
Good chicks car. Alot of guys that drive them get paid out
My next 4x4 (if i get one after SuzySierra) will be a vitara.

Buy a Vitara, More comfort, more power, still very capable off road.
Sierra's can be very rough and gutless as a daily drive, most women who come in my sierra don't like it
If she still wishes to get a sierra, look for obvious things like rust. Usually under the windshield (softtop), and floor mats. Blowing smoke or Using water (blown head gasket). Quite a few of them are around that have been modified and not engineered, which may cause problems during roadworthy and registration.

Re: sierra
Protip - If she gets a Sierra, and you have your Hilux prepare for embarassment once hubs are locked in.big_fyt wrote:hey guys the mrs wants to get a sierra however im a hilux man
As a short trip daily drive they are fine, if you need to commute any real distance i would look elsewhere.
Also, if she's anything like my mrs and wants things like AC, PS and safety features then i would also look elsewhere.
To be fair though, i've never driven an un-modified Sierra on road. I drive My Sierra (33" tyres, 6" lift, welded rear diff) everyday to work and back, 10 mins each way and its fine. But when driving long distances (nearest 4x4 track is 1 hour away) it can get painful, especially going up inclines or with a headwind!
Once you hit the dirt, thats when these babys shine.

Have you looked at a Jimny?..
-Comfy (even stock) coils
-most had factory a/c
-airbags,
-soft or hardtops
-older models getting a little cheaper
-more off road gear starting to appear for them.
-most engine spares from sierra's usable.
-still a true dual range t/f case.
- a bar, new coils, new wheels and tyres = resonably capable offroad.

i agree with most matepossily look to a vitara and have the option of 5 doorinjeted, still cheap or even a little jimny. Both are good in my opinion i just think to get a sierra to e a good DD mite e a bit hard for the missus, short, stiff, slow etc
sierra truggy,37 sticky treps,propane,6.5s and disconnect,lux diffs with spools,16" fox shox,hydro steer.
OOOOOOOO KKKKKKK then =)Eff wrote:most women who come in my sierra don't like it
Daily driving a sierra is fine so long as comfort isnt a priority - although once you get used to it its fine... i daily drove my zuk stock for about 3 months, went bigger tyres for a month, then lifted 2" and stayed that way for a few years daily driving the whole time... now its quite modified and im about to sell my second car to daily drive the zuk again - and i have no issues at all with it... but its definitely a "drivers car" - meaning, no one just hops in and enjoys the ride...

I love driving my zook everyday. My NG Pajero TD feels like a luxury limosine compared to the suzuki, but the zook is way more fun and definitely more responsive performance wise.
