G16b EFI to sierra

Post by dad »

Hi,
Firstly, i have a sierra, 86, g13b. its about to get a new donk.

I have recently acquired a 95 swb vitara with 120k manual, 1.6efi. Its now pretty much stripped (interior, panels, wiring, computer, relays, fuses). drive train still complete.

The cab is rooted, and infested with spiders. i want to rip it off and scrap it, so i can then hopefully work around the engine/box/xfer easier... i have minimal space to do this conversion in, (think unit garage with a car spot in front)

i've never played with vitaras before, but have bodylifted my sierra.

Is there much difference in splitting the chassis/ body between them?

is it feasible to undo all the body/chassis bolts, struts, steering, and push the tub onto a trailer? what else should i look out for that might catch when lifting cab?

thanks
nic

u want to install the g16B into the sierra or get rid of the vit body?

if body rid, then yes its the same thing on a vitara then a sierra unbolt everything and lift off.

Yes and yes.

G16b will go into the sierra when i'm done stripping the vit.

I want to scrap the vit cab, then pull motor/gbox/xfer off the chassis.

That's the info i was after, thanks nicbeer.

cheers

Why not just pull the engine and loom out and sell the rest as a rolling body to help fund your new engine?
