hydraulic pump

Post by gali »

hi there,

is the ZF74 goes for the original stock power steering pump at the landrover?
I'm looking for a hydraulic pump for my hydraulic winch & crossed this pump at few websites as ZF74.

if do, what are her specs?
if don't, what are her specs compare to the stock one?

Gali.

AFAIK the ZF74 is not a popular conversion here in Aus.

I believe the flow rate is a little more than the stock pump, but nothing to get excited about.

If you want a bigger power steering pump, there are some model Saginaw pumps from USA vehicles that have a higher flow rate than the ZF74.

Personally for a hydraulic winch (I have 3), I would use a gear pump from one of the many hydraulic suppliers. Something around 50 to 60 litres per minute will make your winch perform well. And will out perform any power steering pump.

Editted to correct typo in 1st line.
