Rim offset for Creepy Crawlers

Post by SIM79 »

My SWB is running 33x12.5 MTZs now with standard nissan offset, I just measured my mates 35x12.5 Creepy Crawlers and they are 1 inch wider in section width. My MTZs only rub a little in the rear at full flex but I plan to extend my bump stops when I replace my suspenion. When I fit the creepys will nissan offset be ok as I have extendend my bump stops or will I need landcruiser offset?
There's a cheap set of landcruiser rims in yesterdays paper thats why I though I'd double check. I don't want to landcruiser offset unless its necessary as my tyres won't covered by the stock flares.

on my LWB i have got 35 12.5 15's on cruiser offsets and they just clear everywhere without cutting and 4" of lift no body lift but other people have clearance issues so comes down to try and find out i guess.

Brother has -44 on his, they don't rub anywhere bu you'll need to put some flares on her. Can find a pic if you want.

I have done some searching and found that 35 inch creepys perform better and are easier to balance on 10 inch wide rims. Whats the best off set for 15x10 rims? I tried some landcruiser offset 15x10s and they pushed tyres 2 inch past my flares!!

Yeah I have 15x10's, they crowned in the middle when the boys tried them on the 15x8's, but have almost 500g on some of the tyres to balance them.

This is my bro's with 15x10 -44 offset, on 35x12.5 Simexs, the creepys are the same width wise.

He now has 3" flexi flares on and it covers them up nicely.
