Your overall performance over the 9 tracks for the whole year is a better indicator of endurance. The 'end of year' trophies & prizes in 2008 was fairly lean. The club decided to improve this for 2009 hence we dropped the overall trophies for each round. Maybe, in future years, they can be re-introduced.

Keep in mind that it doesn't always have to be a club or committee member that finds the sponsors and makes the negotiations. If any-one out there can present the club with a sponsor who wants to sponsor the overall trophies for each round, then please get in contact with the club. It is one thing to 'whinge your heart out' it is another to offer a solution.

Your welcome to come to a club meeting - just try to bring a prospective sponsor with you.

Peter K.
If you want a sponsor for the overall trophies each round i will cover the cost for 2009 round 2 and round 3 .
After all so many of these trucks use our suspension i would be more than happy to give something back to the competitors.
If you can pm me the contact details of who to talk to i will call them and organise this.

True - but if you hadn't had a whinge then we may not have ended up with a sponsor for the 'overalls' for each round - go figure !! :?

Good on ya Mick - pm being sent with contact details soon.

where did you read this Greg?

If that is how it is written then it is a mistake. the rule is: more than 1 wheel outside the track. meaning that you need to have 3 wheels on the track at all times.
http://www.toughtracks4wdclub.org/forum ... 6b82e145a5

quote:

previous rule
3.3.3. Four wheels leave the track at any one time, that vehicle will cease competing at that point.

is now changed to

3.3.3. If more than one wheel leaves the track at any one time, that vehicle will cease competing at that point.

the course line is straight line from cone to cone, extra cones will be used when needed to accomodate curves etc

:D For those whom seem to get on here and winge and bitch about how the club runs THIER comp maybe you should get out and start your own club and run your own comps(and make sure that you run it so that its suits EVERYONE) and make sure you are fully sponsered for everything that you do so that you don't upset anyone.I thought it was quite obvious at the comp Rn1 that they could not get a sponser for the overall placings. If you sit down and think about it a little longer ,if you come a place overall you would get a trophy to take home and show ya mum anyway cause you would have placed on at least 1 of the 3 tracks  Just like to say Good On Ya to Mick for supporting those who support him(and maybe he could donate some of the old trophies back since he's getting so many) :) :D

All three tracks of Tim's are done, but there's 2 more tracks of Angie's to go so there's still lots more to come... and Angie's are BOUND to be much better than Tim's! ;)
