thanks Steve, I only have the one 95L tank so looks like i will be bringing jerry cans. I suppose buying a 44 worth of diesel from you guys will see me not using it hey.
in my opinion, by the time your drive to the property, then drive back, do your comp. stages, etc. a 44 gallon drum will be used.
Remember there will be no time to get fuel elsewhere, unless you forfeit a stage to go to town.....
Worth thinking about!

mum can't afford it anymore! hahaha
You can go back to get fuel on the long nav but you cant speed on the farm roads and it's about 45 mins back to camp - what a killa! If you go back to camp might as well stay back there and sulk...
You can take Fuel with you so long as it is outside of the cabin and you can leave it at the start of the navigation stage and go back to the start to refuel - that would work. But as you are "in competition" mid way through a stage your spectators can't assist you in any way with the refuelling by way of cartage or helping refuel.
Dam it's getting exciting now - how many more sleeps - is anyone counting???

Last year we took 100ltrs & bought a 44 we left about a 1/4 off the 44 & used all of our 100lts as for the big Nav stage we had a full tank (80ltrs) & strapped on a 25ltr to the back we used close to the hole tank buy the end off the nav & put the 25 in for the creek bed stage after that. when we got back to camp we were running LOW. That was the only day we used that much. Most ofthe other days were about 1/2 tank or less.

Damo
going off that sounds like one and a half drums would be the go anyone want to go halves
I did take teh scenic drive with Rick though, but minus that and a 1 hour dash for parts in between stages maybe another 150ks it was still a tank of fuel during the week without too much trouble.
$10K Cash for 1st to 3rd overall is pro-rata split between classes based upon starters in each class. If only 3 buggies then they all get something but their pool is 3/50ths of the 10K if there are say 47 rigs in Challenge class.
Then the stages ($20K) are all open and prizes ($100 cash to everyone who gets a top 10 place per stage) not affected by classes.
Hope this makes sense.
