Small build up ideas.
Small build up ideas.
I am getting me another Zuk. a litter red softtop (with a fibreglass top on it currently )
About 12 months ago I put a 1.6 in it for the owner (very hurried install one night only with limited tools ... it's awesome ) and called it good.
He has owed me money for some time now so is giving me the Zuk to cover his debt.
Will be a very small build, already has a 1.6, but I want to redo the install using one of BenT's kits and add a 2 inch bodylift to help with some clearnace issues as well as lifting the T/case to give it a flat belly pan.
Headlight loom upgrade.
235's or small 31's and will keep an eye out for a old 4.16 tcase. Power steering using parts I have, 1.6 PS pump and dudlux IFS steering box.
Once I track down some gears I will lock it up and just bomb about in it for a while.
Any other neat cheap idea's people have had to generally improve their Zukin lives.
Not just for off road ability, already has a not bad stero in it (good enough for me anyway)

Seats. Prelude/ GTI seats or similar are a worthwhile upgrade if you'll be driving it for any extended length of time IMO.
And don't forget the chequerplate rear corners.

Remove the roof = free
Remove floor bungs = free
Massage the guards = free
Weld the rear diff = not much
Go drive it.
Congrats on the new toy.
Are the threads on the IFS hilux box the same as on a Vitara one for the power steer lines?

Bit of firewall clearnace and slighty improved ride due to the extended wheelbase.mike_nofx wrote:Does this really have any effect (bar negative) with stock springs and shackles?VR Rodeo wrote:Move the diffs by redrilling the perches

Firewall clearance is something I want. How hard is this mod? What else has to be altered? relocate shock mounts? steering? relocate bumpstops?mike_nofx wrote:
