How can i stop barn door rattle on 100 series?

Post by mike_nofx »

My barn doors have a bit of a rattle, which gets annoying after a while.

Its done it since ive owned it, and all i have been doing so far is place a folded towel over the bottom edge seal of the doors, this keeps the doors nice and tight and rattle free.

Im looking for a more permanent solution, how can i tighten up the seal of the doors to stop rattles?

Thanks
Mike

Have a look in clark rubber you might find something of intrest , to either build up existing seal or even replace it altogether...

You'll probably find that the striker needs to be adjusted. Undo screws and tap it in a touch so the door catches closer to the jamb therefore engaging the seal fully. Post up pics of your striker if you want.

And put a little bit of grease on the rubber stoppers.

Thanks for the tips, will try adjusting the striker. Failing that, will post up a pic!

Thanks again
