Mods to my GU 3lt Auto

Post by ShaneGQ »

Hi there

I am looking at the following mods to my GU 2002 3lt AUTO: ( no need to respond with grenade jokes and or GET A 4.2)
Superior 4 - 5 inch lift
ARB Lockers front and rear.
RockHopper Reduction Gears
Winch
Rock Sliders.

Currently, I am running 33" MTZ's but wouldn't mind running bigger tyres just while out playing say 35's or 37's.

My question is: Are there any areas I will need to beef up or things I will have to improve or put in to make it run better? As at present it is a standard car.

Any input would be great.

Hi Shane, boost and EGT gauges are a must, you may want to install a Trans-Go Shift Kit and possibly a manual torque converter locking system.

Also, a change of diffs (4.6 or higher) would make a big difference if you intend to play with the 35/37s.

Cheers

You wont be dissapointed with the superior lift. I just put in the super flex drop arms with Shane from suspension stuffs 4 inch dobson flexi coils. he supplied all the gear at a great price. Mine is an 04 series 3 auto 3ltr. It is flexing up very well !!!!!!!!!
