Look for the same things as a gq, they are essentially the same.

- Get one with a TD42 (or TD42T) engine, not a ZD30
- Unless you plan on load carrying, get coils in the rear
- They come in ST or DX specs, make sure you get the one that suits YOU best
- Try to find one with a proper service history, not "Yeah, i get my mates brother Johnno to service it all the time"
- Wheel bearings and front swivel hubs should be checked (costs $$$)
- Check panhard/radius/rear arm bushes (its expensive to have to replace all of these)
- Check the clutch for good action/grab, and check the fork boot
- Check that the sills havent been bashed in from 4x4ing
- Do a look over the complete undercarriage an drivetrain for any sign of offroad abuse
- Check brake pads for wear, check the shockers too.

Finally, take it for a GOOD test drive, in town, on the freeway, load it going up some decent hills etc.
