on the redarc charge equaliser, there are 3 wires, input 24v (violet), earth(green) and brown (output 12V) ...i think
now im running this setup to charge a deepcycle in the boot,, sealed of course...
from what ive heard its best to run the thickest cable possible as to have no voltage drop, (cable being run from the 24v system to the boot)
the question is, how thick are the cables on the charge equaliser? or am i an idiot and can you simply connect the thick battery cable straight to the redarc cables if in fact they are thinner?
also i will be using a 24v smart solenoid also redarc, see the attached diagram, anyone got any advice?

what size charge equaliser do you have?
the cable on the charge equaliser are the minimum size they need to be for current carry capacity only. the cables are short, for mounting in an engine bay or next to the batteries in a truck.
the bigger units can pull up to 30 Amps on the 24v side, they need as little voltage drop as possible because unlike other linear reducers that always output a set voltage regardless if the input voltage varies (ie 22-26v input will always output 13.8ish v) the charge equaliser output voltage will vary with the input voltage anywhere from 13 volts with a full 28v input down to 11 volts at 24v, and lower again i believe.
