Camper Trailer Builders in Bayswater...

Post by Meldge »

Hi Guys,

Not a very technical question, but a question that needs answering all the same...

Recently on holidays I saw a camper trailer that really caught my eye.
It had a sticker on it saying something along the lines of "Made in Bayswater"

It was an off-road camper and it pretty much looked like an upside down boat, (and NO it didn't have a boat on it... :bad-words: )

I am pretty much trying to find the name of or names of company's that make camper trailers to these designs...

Any assistance would be appreciated...

Cheers,

Meldge

up side down boat, that would be the Ultimate Camper made in W.A.
Very nice camper but verrrrrry expensive. They are built buy an ex-boat builder so they are made with similar methods out of fibreglass.

Its a question.. nothing more, just a question..

Then again, lets run with it.

Good quality Offroad box trailer $2000 tops.
Single pole Southern cross tent $1000
Gas stove and bottle $150
Air Beds $200
canvas cover for box trailer $350.
other small things $400 (HEAPS more than really needed)

Bit of a saving aint it...

I think we have a back peddle here.... ha! :finger:

More to the point here - perhaps the question of price really doesn't matter - oh no - how about that for consideration instead of wasting bandwidth... :?:

As to the question of made in Bayswater unfortunately there are two bayswater i know of. One in Victoria and one in Western Australia so either manufacturer listed is possible, got any more info.

Bogged as to comparing a trailer with tent and bits and pieces to a camper trailer is a little off as there is more to the camper trailer, ease of set up etc. my parents have used both as you described and found the ease of the camper trailer was worth the extra $$$ when setting up and moving quite often

They used to operate out of Boronia and manufactured a Camper trailer. Guys name was David Allan.

Thats fair enough everyone has own opinion, but you can buy a lot of stuff with $20k that you save, for the sake of 5-10 mins setting up.

I have worked in the camper trailer industry for 2yrs now (production side of things...I am a canvas machinist by trade).

Anyways...just thought I would throw in my 2 cents worth and say...After owning a camper trailer I would never contimplate going back to a tent.

But they may be a biased opinion as well!!!
