turbo timer problems

gday boys i have a GU DX4.2TD 03' i have put a turbo timer on my truck, now my sub tank light has come on an wont turn off. i cannot use my sub tank either i have disconnected the timer an still the light is on does anyone know what this problem is an how to fix it, cheers.

i had this issue with my 2.8turbo gu.
One of the fixes from nissan is running a thick earth cable from motor or gearbox to chassis rail.. Try that first worked for me..

the gu's have stupidly small earth cables so when any extra's are added to the electrical system it stuffs everything up, run a nice thick cable from the neg battery post to the engine then from the engine block to the chassis, then run another earth from the neg battery post to the body... i fix this prob all the time at work, my thoughts are u can never have too many earth cables.. hope this helps :D

my gu petrol did it, and i spoke to my mate that works at nissan he said just to disconnect the battery worked for me.

there are actually 2 models of the Boogard TTimers.

One for cars with subtanks.. Mate had same problem, and got the right one. problem solved. The part # had a ST on the end. assume subtank.
