(NSW) Justa GPS Event 20 September 2009

Post by justanissan »

Justa GPS Event
Date TBA
To be held in the Lithgow Bathurst area of NSW, by the Traction 4wd Club.

This event is to encourage people with a GPS to learn to enter waypoints, then go to find them. Sounds easy doesnt it.

The driving will be graded as easy (C grade). Some assistance will be given to help people get the basics of entering waypoints. Any 4wd with a good set of tyres should have no problems with the tracks. This is not a race. All normal road rules apply.

You must be a member of a 4wd club to come along. This is a Traction 4 club trip weekend. Visitors from other clubs most welcome. Limited numbers. Brian Andrews ph 0419601690 for more details.

Justa GPS Event

For all those of you that are thinking about coming along for the weekend, i can assure you that the weekend will be both intersesting and enjoyable. I attended a "Justa" Event two weeks ago and found it very well run and recommend it to anyone who has a proper GPS (not a Tom Tom). Come along and learn a little bit more about your equipment.

I also attended the last one held by Brian, it was a lot of fun and very easy for the begginers. Last time there were 2 cars that had never used a GPS before they arrived, by the end of the weekend they wee able to enter and find waypoints easily. So come along for practice if know how to use 1 and if dont come get some one to show you.

G'day Denny
Mate try to get a Garmin 128 very east to use, you can still get these on ebay from time to time brand new even though they are out dated, still one of the best.

Yep. Probably why you need a GPS ;)

Maybe I'll have to get a proper fang-dangled GPS thingy, instead of the cheapy tom-tom....
Cheers, Tony
