Diff ratios

Post by JAFO74 »

Hi all I have a tb42 with 6inch lift and 35's, I have been told that if I get crown wheel and pinions from a td42 it will take the gearing back to what would have been standard with the 31's, can somebody or everybody please let me know if this is true as the old girl really hates highway hills at the moment esp with the camper trailer on the back.
Thanks

you dont need the gears from a td42,( generally 4.1's) you need the gears from a rd28t

SO
that means
look for a set of 4.6 gears.

cheers,
JEs
