what an awesome weekend .
the whole crew from TTC09 need a huge pat on the back for putting on this great event . and a special thanks to tony and steve price they did a fantastic job of looking after all the competitors .
congrats to all the winners it was amazing to watch team opw and total care drive these tracks . well done guys.
for us to get a 5th placing was amazing and not have to work on the car all weekend was even more of a surprise . i know we copped a bit of flack for only going to the 30 point mark in the mud but we wanted to play on sunday and finish the tracks and in hindsight we made the correct decision because it put out a few vehicles that may have finished ahead of us . eg team longshot who were having a great run up till there .
what was special for me was to do this event as a father son team .
it was mitches first event naving for me and he did a fantastic job .
thanks to our support crew who were very vocal and great fun all weekend ( thanks guys)
see you all again next year

No, he didn't disappear, he came back, to stand right behind us, get his wang out and pi$$. I heard it hitting the ground, and went to get security. They came back with ONE army guy, pulled him out of the crowd, spoke to him, and let him go again!LIF71T wrote:Security did nothing to stop the F#$*wit on the bin at the mud on Sat night
they ask him nicely to stop and walked away which did nothing. He kept trying to pick a fight with anyone telling him to shutup because of the kids in front of him. He finally got bored with giving one area the shits and went off to bug the shit out of someone else. Security should of kicked him out!!!
Whats the point of security if all they do is stand around with there thumb up there arse
Come on Security! This was an absolute joke. I did notice an increased number of security, but I don't think they were the right type of security. They looked a bit scared to face ANYONE on their own! lol
Why only one showbag per vehicle this year?? And no snake racing stubby cooler?? No freebies, just advertising??
How'd the tits out boys get in this year??
-------------
*Good Stuff* (not enough good stuff is ever said)
The showers - Oh the showers! It was great being able to have a shower first thing in the morning. Only downside the exhaust fans didn't work! Made a great sauna though!
The segregation of Family and Feral - I thought it was fantastic, we didn't have any problems whatsoever, and we were camped in the family area right next to the mud run. Having read other posts, maybe further screening/patrols of the family area to relocate those who found themselves in the wrong area??
Traders Alley was tops!! Absolutely brilliant! Would love to see it next year!
Traffic-person - Was good to see someone directing traffic for the line on the way in on Friday. Took us over an hour to get in, I'd hate to think how long it would have taken without the nice person directing traffic.
There was a heap more kids this year, both toddlers and "tweens". Someone I was talking to suggested rides? Not sure how it would work.
The saturday night Disco - Was it designed for the kids?? I didn't see any kids over there? DJ needs more than one CD though
Overall, I think this year was the the best out of the four I've been to.

Have only read the last few pages and agree with pretty much most of the comments made so far.
The things that got me riled up were the tit's out guys who didn't know when to stop drinking, which was probably only a few, but the guy yelling out 'ROBBIE' and '38' half hanging over the fence was so drunk he surely has no recollection of doing it at all and the other tit's out guy that thought it was great to steal a full packet of glow in the dark arm bands and yell out to everyone that he'd done it before handing them out to everyone.
By far the funniest part of the weekend was Grimace with the butternut at the mud run Saturday night. Will post photo when I get my camera back.

They carried on like the biggest bunch of fukwits at the mud on friday night Although one of them tried to tell the others to stop swearing and the rest of them called him a Hmm. There was a blonde trailer trash with that group and that bitch had the foulest mouth i've ever heard, and i'm bad for it.

I`d like to say well done to all competitors. also a special thanks to wayne - MADFAB for helping us out with parts off his road car, ABT-Firetruck for getting us heaps of auto fluid, all the fans and supporters of our team. The spiderman theme that Ant painted went of like a hit . we were running really good until the rockgarden where the 3rd attempt over the crack , had the accelerator jammed to the floor, FTA full throttle Ant - in which the truck climbed the massive rock face doing a piroette and landing breaking the engine mount cracking the auto completely in half. the frame twister finished it off when it caught on fire twice after the radius arm broke then stabbed through Hp fuel lines then Ant putting in a crowd pleasing finish at the 50 point mark over the log with the biggest airtime of the weekend. front wheels would have had 5 metres under them no sh#t. with the drivetrain held together with silicon and 3 ratchet straps, and the front end ripped out it was sore and needed a rest.

Another Tuff Truck over. . . . . I along with the rest of the Tuff Truck committee can finally sleep again.
This year has opened my eyes to how difficult being one of the competition managers can be. But with every problem we come across we managed to find a solution. Some decisions along the way have upset a few competitors, but have also made the vast majority happy. Trying to keep everyone happy is basically impossible but we have a go.
Having had the chance to walk around the competiton area this year (inbetween sorting out little issues and chasing competitors) i was delighted with the level of skills shown by the teams. The vehicles are increasing with quality each year and so is the driving. We make the courses a little harder each year and some of you make it look like a trip down the highway .
With being one of the competiton managers this year, it allowed me to get to know the drivers and navigators better, and for the vast majority of you all, thank you for being helpfull and co-operative with myself and Tony. It makes the job that much easier to talk to you all, even when your fixing your 5th broken CV in 5 stages .
Unfortunately i did see a team pull out all the rock packing they did after they completed the stage, which was pretty unsportsman like and pretty disappointing to watch.
The Saturday night was easily the biggest disappointment i have ever been involved with in 9 years of competing. Streakers and throwing bottles and cans at officials, competitors and security was utter disgusting. To the assholes involved with that, PISS OFF and leave the weekend for those actually with a brain and interested in the sport.
The Mud event was a major let-down as everyone knows. And because parts of the crowd were so pissed and abusive, i along with another officials made the call to allow the winching off a post in the track just to keep the vehicles driving to keep the crowd entertained, even though that winch point wasn't allowed to be used on Friday night. And the other competitiors were offered a re-run if they wanted on the Saturday night. With crap comments like winching is boring and it turned into a winch event, yes they used the winch for 3-4 metres but DROVE the majority if not the rest of the stage. NOT winched. I knew the would upset some competitors but with having so many idiots getting more abusive when nothing was happening, i had to make the call.
To the teams, thank you all for the support you shown us regarding this decision. It was one of the hardest decisions to make, but one i beleive had to be made. With all the suggestions from the competitors as to what to do on the Saturday nights stage, we'll come up with a better plan for next year.
Saturday night aside, i really enjoyed being part of a group running the biggest and best event on the 4WD calender. Stress levels were up and lack of sleep were obvious over parts of the weekend but its all part of it.
Cheers Steve Price.

Yes, cameras were mounted like that for a few tracks, not all. We do have our own on board camera that was on for all events & from what i've heard that footage is great, even in the night stages!!antt wrote:cool vid, hope he had those camera's on mounted on it on the rest of the tracksHIGH ROLLER wrote:Just watched this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkHSYfqKAiw Holy shit thats awesome Pete Well done mate the poor little Vit has got no hope doin that shit
did it end up lifting the rear right wheel, or did he just stop when the tyre flattened off on the ramp?
On the ramp, I had to stop as the left hand front tyre was hitting the brace on the ramp, so I think some ramp mods are required for next year!!
You'll notice in pics that the front left shock has only extended approx 8 inchs. so it still had about 8" left.

What a top weekend! To bad it's a year till next one. How good was the big white fridge on the bonus stage, i bet nobody ever thought they would see a full body near stocker attempt that. And what about Bright sparks !st time at Tuff Truck and came 10th "go the luxy". But best of all was the guy on the ride on mower gettin crash tackled on the friday night at the mud stage! Geez it was funny, not for him but everyone else it was. Feel a bit sorry for him obviously he pissed the guy off! LOL
if it has tit's, wheels or a motor you better have money
