rear hilux shocks

Post by .MYTLUX. »

my shocks are almost maxed out on the rear, i have 3" extended shackles with standard springs, i will prob take the thick load leaf out and open up the clamps at some point.

just wondering if anyone has any advice on what shocks to get, obviuosly they dont need to be ultra long as i wont have huge down travel (i dont rally want to invert them at this stage either)

was thinking possibly rs5000, but how much longer can i go with standard shock mounts?

Take the shocks off. Ramp it and measure.

Quickest and simplest way I reckon.

yeh that will give me what lenght i need, if i then subtract (the distance between bump stop and spring) from my shock length while sitting flat this will give me the max compressed length i can have, without bottoming out yeh???

When you ramp it just measure both sides.
One side will be fully extended and the other will be close to fully compressed.
