35" tyres on a gu ute with leafs???

gday,

just wondering if anyone is running 35" tyres on there gu utes with leaf back suspension... am contemplating it but not sure about wheel offsets etc

have also been looking at 4 inch setups by snake racing.. anyone done the same?

can anyone help me out... ive noticed that the back tyres are pretty close tot he chassis...

Im not myself but ive been out with a mate with leaf rear, 2inch spring 2inch body and 35's. Not sure wat tyre tho...

You want to get the maximum offset you can as the tires to the chassis are very close on the leaf spring rears, the wheel travel will be limited once the tires hit the chassis.
The offset is usually detirmined by the width of your tray.

35's will fit with a cruiser offset rim but does scuff when flexed, the rear diff is 100mm narrower than the front (rear is left over gq diff), i put 2" spacers on from snake to bring the track equal front to back, easy.

didnt think that gu's came with leaf backs i thought they were all coileys skip the snake products there quality and backup have gone down hill of late and go with somethimg like dobinsons kit or a bbm kit try tjm or opposite lock snake are over priced and overrated if you need the extra offset you can get the extra offset in a set of rims rather than spending megga bucks on a set of wheel spacers
